The Red Lion

Red Lion St, Birmingham, Alvechurch, Birmingham B48 7LG, UK – 0121 445 4162

Bar staff young, unfamiliar and contrary. That else would we like the young. Eat there on Saturday and the fish was good. I Enjoyed my meal. It's a pub that serves food in a familiar and pleasant environment. That said, if they put they're prices up any more I'd reconsider my options.

Nice friendly and busy pub with great staff. Food is standard pub grub but nothing wrong with that. Recommended

The Coach & Horses, Weatheroak Hill

Weatheroak Hill, Alvechurch B48 7EA, UK – 01564 823386

This is what the definition of a pub should be, great food, local beer, locals with humour and bar staff a plenty. Great garden, two bars and a restaurant with one bar that is dog friendly, huge car park and a brilliant rural location. If your looking for a flash gastro pub that charges a fortune this isn’t it. If you crave the pub of old with character and belonging then you’ve found it.

I brought my husband a book from a charity shop for our wedding anniversary which is 25 years old...we thought it would be great to go walking and to find the pubs in book to see if still there re take our delight this one was! We didn't eat in restaurant but had a good old fahioned cob served from the bar and drink as we had grif our dog with is dog friendly lots of pups there. Large car park friendly helpful for restaurant looks scrummy so will be returning to sample soon. Their own micro brewery on same site as pub you could smell the hops....great to see a pub still thriving since 1780!

The Crown Inn

Withybed Ln, Alvechurch, Birmingham B48 7PN, UK – 0121 445 2300

Lovely pub. Young lady serving was excellent. Seen dogs here all day. Grass table adjacent from pub had dogs running around. I would give 10/10

Another Alvechurch classic pub under new management and all the better for it. Sleepy local in an idyllic setting. Great range of nice home cooked pub grub. Fab range of good beers and ciders. No dogs inside, but there's a massive covered area in the garden to sit with them. Our dog was quite happy sat with us outside.
